| For what reason they decide to do modeling for teen photography sites? I'm not talking about worthless pornstars or professional supermodels or porn amateurs. | there is no specific subject for photography. it depends on what you lean towards, there are endless types and styles of photography, and it depends on the photographer himself. i've been really interested in macro photography, taking pictures of insects and flowers at a really close range capturing the details that people usually fail to notice with the naked eye. photography is an incredible thing and it takes a great eye to take great photographs, you have to train your eye to spot interesting things that would look great in a square frame of the photograph. its not that easy and takes lots of training and knowledge. you're still young just keep your camera with you AT ALL TIMES. if you're going out with friends, going to the mall.... just where ever you're going, you never know when you'll come across something interesting to photograph. check out my photography gallery at deviantart. i'm only an amateur, but i want to get deeper into photography since I really love it! iraqifreak.deviantart.com take as many photographs as possible!!!! sometimes I take a 1000 pictures before i get a really good one... don't limit yourself!! good luck!! :D |

Not necesarily people, but like landscapes and objects, etc. And I want to get better but I need to take some kind of class to improve. My school doesn't offer Photography as a class until sophomore year so what I've been doing is just taking pictures around different areas and of my friends. Are there any classes I can take in the area? Also, are there any tips you could give me? |
| I can't answer about classes in the DC area, but, I can give you some ideas to improve your photography until you can take one and it won't cost a cent as long as you have internet access. There are groups on Flickr, Yahoo, and other sources that are centered around beginners and helping you learn. A Yahoo group named Photography_Beginners is very good and the moderator, Erica has several very easy to use tutorials on her personal website. You can also check for groups and clubs that meet in your area. You can check most of them out quite easily. Most of the online groups have experienced photographers as members even if it is a beginners group to help the new photographers learn. If you join these groups, you need to be very specific about any comments and critique you want. Many beginners give the "ooh, it's nice" answers. That doesn't help improve your work. Ask for suggestions and don't get easily offended if someone says the shot you love isn't very good. Photography is an art, and as such, many different opinions exist about what is good. Be true to yourself and learn the basics well enough to know when and how to break them so they look intentional. Good luck. By the way, Flickr and Yahoo groups are free to join. | All cameras are "photography cameras" because they take photos. Besides that, there aren't many jobs for 13 years old in general, so I would suggest just practicing and evolving your skills. As good as you may think you are (or your camera makes you) you can always be better. |
